(AP) -- LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Michigan residents wishing to participate in the state's Feb. 23 elections have less than a week to register to vote. Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land says Monday is the last day to register.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old by Feb. 23 and be U.S. citizens to qualify to register. They can register by mail; at their county, city or township clerk's office; or by visiting any secretary of state branch office.
Residents may check their registration status through the Michigan Voter Information Center at www.michigan.gov/sos.
