FLINT -- The Genesee County Sheriff’s Department and the Alcohol Tobacco Firearm Unit are searching for a dangerous criminal who threatened two city officials.
Dequeze Dixon was released from federal prison for firearm charges on December 30, 2009.
Days later, he beat his child’s mother.
On January 27, 2010, he called residents of a Damon St. home and threatened to shoot through their house. At the time of the threat, Commissioner Omar Sims and Detective Lieutenant Michael Tocarchick were across the street to the Broom center at a conference on elder abuse. Det. Tocarchick received word of the threat and the two rushed to the scene.
When they arrived at the home, Dixon jumped into a car and pointed a gun at them. He then fled the scene. No one was injured in the threat.
The ATF is now offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of this dangerous criminal. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s department at 810-257-3422 immediately. Officials warn to be cautious, however, as he is considered extremely dangerous.
