An emotional homecoming at MBS International Airport Thursday evening for Sargent. Rick Thompson of the Saginaw Police Department, Sargent Thompson was greeted by his family, friends, and colleges when his plane landed and says it's overwhelming but great to be home.

He has been with the Army Reserves for fourteen years, and is one of thirty-six volunteers sent to train, develop, and mentor the new Afghanistan National Army.

It's a service he says that he's proud to do for his country but, he's glad to be home, and ready to serve his community.
