BAY CITY -- Bay City Fireworks Festival organizers kicked off their fundraising season this weekend with a telethon on the city’s public access channel.  The goal was to raise $20,000 to pay for various expenses during the three-day long July event.

About 250 prizes were given to donors who phoned in contributions.  Wolverine Fireworks will produce this year’s show, as they have in years past.  The BCFF committee just signed a new three-year deal with the company.  If you were unable to donate during the telethon, you can still do so by calling 1-989-992-BANG.
