The city of Flint is expected to get a 1.5 million dollar public safety grant.

It could save up to 10 jobs keeping foot patrol officers on the streets. This comes on the heels of the announcement that more than 50 police officers will be laid off. The city and public safety unions have not been able to agree on a cost-cutting contract.

The grant comes from the Mott Community Foundation.
