Davison and Davison Township leaders say there will be a study done on whether a merger would benefit their communities.
A merger could mean sharing more services or a complete government change.
They say residents will have a lot of input.
Davison City Manager, Dale Martin says, "that was the discussion last night is to learn what the concerns were of the people so that if we do go forward wit the discussion they'll understand what they're looking for."
The two communities already share a library, senior center, parks department, and Fire Department.
