(AP) -- Three children are dead and two others are hospitalized following a house fire on Detroit's west side. A Detroit Fire Department dispatcher named Goode, who would not give her first name, says the fire was reported at 6:43 p.m. Tuesday. She said the fire department would not release any more information before Wednesday morning.
But WJBK-TV reports the children who died were aged 3, 4 and 5. The station says several men caught the falls of three boys who jumped from a second-story window and an infant girl who was dropped from a window.
According to WJBK, the baby and an 8-year-old boy are in critical condition at Children's Hospital of Michigan.
The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
