GLADWIN CO. -- A 29 year old Sanford man has been charged in the murder of his 61 year old father.
Harold Nicholas (Nick) Martin was arraigned Friday on one count of open murder in the slaying of his father, Harold Louis Martin of Gladwin.
Relatives found Harold Louis Martin's body at his home on February 28, 2010.
The Michigan State Police reports "Nick" Martin remained silent in court Friday morning. A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.
MSP state, "We are confident this was an isolated incident, and that we have the person responsible in custody."
Bond has been denied, and the suspect remains in the Gladwin County Jail.
