CORUNNA (AP) -- A psychiatrist says a Michigan man who shot an anti-abortion protester and another man lacks remorse for the killings and has mental-health problems from a fatal wreck in Iowa.
Dr. Emanuel Tanay testified Monday that Harlan Drake has a pattern of self-destructive behavior.
Drake admits killing anti-abortion protester James Pouillon (POOL'-yuhn) near Owosso High School and businessman Mike Fuoss (FOOSE). Drake's lawyers say he should be found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Tanay says Drake is haunted by a crash when his truck struck a car, killing two teens. Drake wasn't at fault, but Tanay says Drake calls himself "killer."
The defense case began Monday in Shiawassee County court in Corunna, 25 miles west of Flint.
