GENESEE COUNTY -- A routine traffic stop led to high speed chase through two counties causing quite a show.
Investigators on the scene tell NBC25 the chase started in Birch Run Township in Saginaw County when police tried to pull over two suspects in a red Chevy Impala for a simple traffic violation.
The suspects took off and led authorities on a high speed chase that ended at Vienna Road and I-75 in Vienna Township in northern Genesee County.
The suspects jumped out of the car and took off on foot but police were able to catch both suspects and arrest them.
Several law enforcement agencies were called in during all the commotion including the Genesee County Sheriff's Department, Michigan State Troopers, Clio, Mt. Morris Twp., and Birch Run Police Departments.
