(AP) -- Actors from "The Pacific" are coming to Michigan for a screening of the upcoming 10-part HBO miniseries. "The Pacific" follows three U.S. Marines fighting in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Actors Ashton Holmes and Rami Malek are to be in Grosse Pointe Farms for a screening Wednesday evening. World War II veterans and community members also are expected to be on hand for the event at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial.
"The Pacific" is executive-produced by Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman, the producing team behind the award-winning 2001 HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers." It debuts Sunday on the network.
