(AP) -- A workshop on training people for jobs in the film industry is being held at Madonna College. Michigan has been drawing more moviemakers since 2008, when 42 percent tax incentives that are among the nation's most generous took effect. The keynote speaker at Monday's event is Richard Jewell, work force development manager for the Michigan Film Office. He's a member of the Screen Actors Guild, Actors Equity, and American Federation of Radio and Television Alliance.
The workshop is aimed at community college and high school administrators, counselors and teachers, as well as members of the public. It will take place at the Livonia college's Franciscan Center Lecture Hall.
