(AP) -- Divers have recovered the body of a fisherman who fell through the ice at the Michigamme Reservoir in the western Upper Peninsula. Iron County Sheriff Mark Valesano says in a statement that the body of 65-year-old John A. Brozak of Crystal Falls was located about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.
A fishing companion called the sheriff's office about 9 a.m. Tuesday to say he and Brozak were driving their off-road vehicles about 7:30 p.m. Monday when they broke through ice. The man, whose name hasn't been released, said he walked several miles to his home to call for help after failing to pull Brozak from the water.
The accident happened in Mansfield Township, about 130 miles north of Green Bay, Wis.
