BAY CITY -- Bay City Police want to know how to better serve residents despite and ever dwindling budget.
Monday night was the first of three town hall meetings where residents had the chance to find out how the police department operates with thinning resources and to give their opinion on what they expect from police to feel safe.
"I'm expecting to get honest responses from our citizens on what they want from the police department. How large it is, how many officers they want, what we're doing well and where we can improve. The economy and tightening budget is affecting how we operate so we might need to adjust how we deliver service."
Two more meetings are to follow March 29th and April 12th at 6:30pm at various community locations.
