Bronner's was founded in 1945 there are billboards all over the country talking about this place. It is the place to come to, the largest Christmas store in the world and its right when you come into Frankenmuth!
Here are some interesting facts: Bronner's electrical bill averages $900 dollars a day. All the lights sold in a year would stretch 530 miles!
Also, Michigan designated Bronner’s as an embassy for tourism in 1976.
Architecture is rather unique in Frankenmuth. Its Franconia style architecture inspired by the Franconia region. The style is marked by timbers used in squares and X's on buildings, as well as windows and doors and other features. Most buildings in the commercial district as well as homes use this style.
Tourism is the number one industry in Frankenmuth with over three million visitors annually. They have been here a long time, settled in 1845; you would think that Zehnder's or the Bavarian Inn would be the oldest businesses in town.
But that's not the case! Its star of the West Milling Company founded in 1870.
