Flint Right to Like and Black Americans for Life issued the following statement Monday, March 22, 2010.
"Flint Right to Life and Black Americans for Life call on Right to Life of Michigan to immediately revoke the Right to Life endorsement of Rep. Bart Stupak. His support of this national healthcare bill changed America forever and declared war on unborn babies, the elderly and disabled persons.
President Obama is the most pro-abortion President in the history of our Nation, and Mr. Stupak did this knowing full well that this President can, with the stroke of his pen, reverse any previous Executive Order he signs.
On his first day in office, President Obama signed an Executive Order reversing the Mexico City Policy which prohibited American taxdollars from being used to fund abortions internationally. Likewise, when it is convenient for him, he will sign an Executive Order to implement tax-payer funded abortion in this healthcare bill, and ABORTION IS NOT HEALTH CARE.
Mr. Stupak is fully aware of the mandatory end-of-life counseling in this healthcare bill for the elderly and disabled but chose to remain silent on this.
It's time to make a believer out of him as to what a pro-life endorsement really means. We are very tired of those who sacrifice the innocent for their own personal gain."
