The Edward Lowe Foundation says keep an eye on Covenant Eyes. It put the Owosso business on its “Michigan's 50 Companies to Watch” list.
"It is a true honor to be recognized,” says Covenant Eyes Marketing Lead Sam Black. “Of so many companies in Michigan we are one of the top 50."
Covenant Eyes will be honored at an awards ceremony during the sixth annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business event, April 29 in Lansing, Mich.
The company started 10 years ago. Its founder wanted a way to protect families from adult content on-line. It offers filter software, and provides reports letting parents know exactly what sites their children are visiting.
Even in a down economy, Covenant Eyes continues to grow. It expects to hire about 10-12 people this year.
"In today’s economy we're really blessed that we’ve been able to grow and continue to hire people,” says V.P. of Technology Scott Hammersley.
