The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will continue work on M-13 from Hess Avenue to M-46 in the city of Saginaw, beginning Monday.
During 2009, crews completed work on M-13 from Birch Street north to Ezra Rust Drive and on M-46 at the M-13 intersection. The second phase of this two-year project includes work at the M-13/M-46 intersection and on M-13 from Birch Street south to Hess Avenue.
In addition to roadway reconstruction, work also includes installing new storm sewers, water mains, and sanitary sewers; and making intersection improvements at M-13/M-46.
This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
One lane will remain open in each direction on M-46 and one lane will remain open in each direction on M-13 north of M-46. M-13 will be completely closed from south of M-46 to Hess Avenue with a posted detour.
