ARGENTINE TWP. -- NBC25 has received dozens of comments regarding the death of 4-year-old Dominick Calhoun.
According to police, the child was beaten over a period of four days. Dominick was found by family members on April 17 and taken to the hospital. Two days later he was taken off life support and he died.
When Dominick was discovered badly beaten, both Dominick's mother, Corrine Baker, and her boyfriend, Brandon Hayes, were taken into police custody.
Hours later, Baker was released. However, investigators say she remains under intense investigation. Baker, meanwhile, was arrested today on unrelated charges in Livingston County.
Hayes has begun the preliminary hearings. His attorney is asking for a competency hearing, claiming his client has a history of mental illness.
