(AP) -- LANSING, Mich. - A few hundred people upset with the condition of Michigan's roads are rallying at the state Capitol.
The Tuesday rally calls on lawmakers to increase funding for roads, bridges and other transportation projects. The Michigan Transportation Team coalition includes business groups, road builders, transportation agencies and motorists.
Proposals that would boost road funding, including higher taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel, aren't getting much attention in the Legislature.
The state plans to delay hundreds of road and bridge projects scheduled for the next five years because of its inability to raise enough money to match federal transportation dollars.
Truck drivers attending Tuesday's rally said they would pay higher fuel taxes in exchange for better roads.
