MIDLAND CO. -- A 19-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning in a car crash.
The Midland County Sheriff’s Office reports Larkin Township resident, Samuel W. Johnson, was killed and passenger 20-year-old Casey Yore was injured.
The Sheriff’s office reports the incident occurred around 6:28 a.m. Tuesday on North Jefferson Road north of Hubbard Road in Midland County.
The driver of the vehicle was northbound on North Jefferson Road when the vehicle went off the roadway, hitting a mailbox and crashing into a ditch. The vehicle then struck a fire hydrant.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. Yore was taken to the MidMichigan Regional Medical Center by EMS.
The accident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s office.
