(AP) -- DETROIT (AP) - A former Detroit-area prep hockey coach is returning to federal court to get his sentence for child pornography.
Robert Bopp is the former hockey coach at Grosse Pointe South High School. He's also a member of the Michigan hall of fame for hockey coaches.
The Taylor man pleaded guilty in November to producing child pornography. The federal crime grew out of a local investigation of Bopp paying a teen boy for oral sex.
He's due in federal court Monday for his sentence. When the federal case is finished, Bopp eventually will appear in Wayne County Circuit Court to accept a plea deal in his sexual assault case.
Bopp was fired at Grosse Pointe South after he was charged nearly a year ago.
