SAGINAW TWP. -- The following is a message from Sen. Kahn's office:
Senator Roger Kahn (R – Saginaw Township) today announced that he will seek a second term as state senator for the 32nd Senate District, which encompasses all of Saginaw and Gratiot Counties.
“I would be honored to continue to represent the people of Saginaw and Gratiot Counties,” said Kahn, who is a Saginaw cardiologist. “I have worked every day to bring jobs into the region. There is still a lot to do, both on bringing our economy back and promoting mid-Michigan values.”
Kahn counts his efforts to facilitate business expansion as his top accomplishment. Legislative measures authored by Kahn helped encourage Morley Company in their Saginaw expansion, as well as additional jobs coming to the region from Hemlock SemiConducter, Dow-Kokam, Suniva, and other companies. Kahn noted that continued efforts to curb gang violence and proposed reforms to the property tax appeal process are further legislative goals.
“As important as jobs are, and they are critically important, we must not lose track of the need to focus on values,” Kahn added. “I take very seriously my responsibility to ensure that the hope and promise America offered me remains for future generations.”
Kahn’s announcement will take place during the Saginaw County Republican Party meeting this Wednesday, May 12th, at 7pm at the Saginaw Township Fire Station #3, 155 N Center Road in Saginaw Township. Media are welcome.
