KALAMAZOO (AP) -- The Kalamazoo Central High School graduation featuring President Barack Obama is moving to a larger venue.

The Kalamazoo Gazette reports Friday that the June 7 ceremony will be held at 5,000-seat University Arena at Western Michigan University. The arena hosts college basketball games and can hold 1,000 more people than Wings Stadium, the original graduation site.

Each of the 300 graduates will get eight tickets to the ceremony. Another 3,000 students at the district's three high schools also could get tickets.

Central High won the nationwide Race to the Top High School Commencement challenge.

The 1,700-student school was one of three finalists in the competition. They were chosen through public voting on videos and essays submitted by the schools.
