(AP) -- ROSEVILLE, Mich. - A 21-year-old Detroit man has been arrested in a knife attack on his girlfriend and critical stabbing of her stepfather in a home in Roseville.
The Macomb Daily in Mount Clemens reports Friday that the suspect was arrested at 4 a.m. in Detroit and is expected to be arraigned later in 39th District Court in Roseville.
The newspaper reports that the 37-year-old stepfather suffered several knife wounds to his back and abdomen Wednesday after intervening in an argument between his 20-year-old stepdaughter and her boyfriend. He was in critical condition following surgery at a local hospital.
Police say the stepdaughter was slashed twice across one of her legs. She has been treated and released from the hospital.
