The Michigan Department of Transportation has again rescheduled resurfacing on 10.4 miles of M-46 from M-15 west to Towerline Road near the city of Saginaw. Work, which was rescheduled to begin Monday, May 24, now is expected to start Wednesday, May 26, due to rain.
Resurfacing, which starts at the east limits of M-15 heading west, will be completed in 2-mile long sections.
This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
To accommodate this work, one lane will remain open in each direction on M-46 with traffic maintained under flag control.
This work is weather-dependent and will be rescheduled in the case of inclement conditions.
