(AP) -- DEARBORN - A group of 250 people will be sworn in as U.S. citizens in a Dearborn ceremony. U.S. District Judge George Caram Steeh will administer the Oath of Allegiance on Friday to the citizens at the Bint Jebail Cultural Center in the Detroit suburb known as capital of Arab America. The ceremony officially completes the process of becoming U.S. citizens.
The event is hosted by the Michigan chapter of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee and the city of Dearborn Heights. Speakers include U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade, FBI Detroit Special Agent in Charge Andrew Arena and representatives of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
