FARWELL -- A Michigan teen killed by meningitis is being laid to rest.
14-year-old Matthew Meyers died Friday in Saginaw after contracting a form of meningitis.
Meyers was a student at Farwell Middle School. The funeral was held in the school gymnasium Thursday.
The community is holding a benefit dinner Saturday, June 5th to help pay for funeral expenses. It will be at the Clare Eagle's Club from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
