SAGINAW -- A Mid-Michigan hospital is honoring those who've given the gift of life.

Friday was Third Annual Donate Life Flag Raising Ceremony at St. Mary’s Hospital to honor those who donated organs and saved lives.

Family members of over a dozen donors gathered to remember the gifts their loved ones made.

More than 2900 Michigan residents are waiting to receive organs. So, hospital officials say it's important for people to give the gift of life.

You can become a donor by filling the form at www.organdonor.gov or by filling out the back of your driver’s license.
