FLINT -- The Flint City Council unanimously approved it's budget cutting some positions and bringing back weekly trash pickup.
In it's budget the council cut five positions including four of the mayors appointees and the fire chief seat.
Nearly $200,000 in funding would go towards housing more offenders which may include renting jail space in other counties.
Nearly $600,000 in funding was also restored to bring back weekly trash pickup.
Flint Mayor Dayne Walling has one week to veto the budget.
