202 vehicles stopped during 'Click it, or ticket'

BAY CITY -- The following is a message from the Bay City Police Department:

The Bay City Police Department Seatbelt Enforcement "Click it or ticket" campaign recently concluded. During the 13 days of Seatbelt Enforcement Zones, officers stopped 202 vehicles. Of those stopped, 111 seatbelt tickets were issued. Officers also arrested seven people for Driving on a suspended license. Officers also wrote 46 tickets for other violations such as speeding, running red lights, loud car stereos, and other miscellaneous violations.

The click it or ticket campaign ran from May 24th to June 6th and was funded by the Office of Highway Safety Programs (OHSP) and the grant was written by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office.
