FLINT -- The Flint Public Library is asking for a millage in order to maintain services.
Wednesday, library staff kicked off a campaign to get attention for the millage. Officials are asking to continue the .9 mill, and are also asking for an additional .5 mill.
The say the current budget is not enough to continue to provide as many free services that it currently does.
Library staff says the mill increase would be about $11.00 more a year for the average Flint house-hold.
