The markets rebounded sharply thanks to the gains in energy and metal stocks. It was the best one-day performance since May.
The Dow climbed more than 273 points, the Nasdaq was up 59 points and the S&P 500 was up 31 points.
Oil prices saw a slight increase today, finishing at $75 per barrel. Gold was down, closing at $1,220 per ounce.
Locally, Ford and Dow Chemical increased more than three percent.
