TITTABAWASSEE TWP. -- A 2010 Freeland High School graduate has died after drowning at a Frisbee golf park.

Tittabawassee Township police say 18 year old Dennis Gatz drowned around 3:20 p.m. Sunday.

Gatz and three friends were trying to get Frisbees out of a pond on the 9200 block of Midland Rd. Gatz began to sink in the middle of the pond. One of his friends attempted to rescue him, but was unable to bring him to safety.

The Saginaw County Dive Team found him about 50 feet off-shore in 7 to 8 feet of water.

NBC25 is told Gatz was planning on celebrating his graduation with an Open House party this coming weekend.
