(AP) -- The family of a slain 15-year-old Detroit boy and Crime Stoppers of Michigan say they're offering a $2,500 reward for clues to his killer's identity. Details of the reward are expected to be discussed at a Wednesday afternoon news conference in Detroit. Avondre Donel was killed during a drive-by shooting May 9 while standing on a friend's porch in northwest Detroit. Avondre was waiting to play basketball.

Police say he wasn't the intended target. Detroit police also will be present during Wednesday's announcement.

The Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line is 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
