BAY COUNTY -- One of the Republicans competing for the state's top job was in Mid-Michigan Monday night.

Mike Bouchard held a town hall with a conservative group in Bay County.

The Oakland County Sheriff took questions from residents at the Williams Township hall.

Bouchard says he's heard more concerns about jobs than any other issue so far in the campaign.

" There are three messages: Jobs, and jobs and jobs. Families are leaving every 12 minutes from this state," said Sheriff Bouchard.

Bouchard currently ranks fourth in most polls.

The forum was held by the "We the People of Mid-Michigan" organization, part of the Tea Party movement.
