(AP) -- Wayne County says it's accepting household paints, chemicals, electronics and other items this weekend at a drop off location in New Boston for disposal. The county says in release that the collection will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Huron High School. Household chemicals will be disposed of, while electronics are slated for recycling. The drop off is free for county residents, who must show identification.
All waste must be from homes. Other items that will be accepted include, stains, furniture polish, bathroom cleaners, lawn and garden chemicals, antifreeze, fluorescent and compact fluorescent light bulbs.
Pharmaceutical waste and medical sharps in puncture-proof containers also can be dropped off.
