(AP) -- Jennifer Granholm's office says Michigan's governor will give blood to help start the 2010 State Employee Blood Challenge. Granholm is scheduled to make the donation Thursday morning at the Capitol Commons building.
The drive is sponsored by the state, American Red Cross, Michigan Blood, and the U.P. Regional Blood Center. It encourages state employees to donate blood from now through Sept. 30 to help meet patient needs during the summer.
