(AP) -- State wildlife officials say leftover bear licenses will be available for purchase this month. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment said the licenses will be sold online or at any license agent on a first-come, first-served basis. Holders of Lifetime Comprehensive Licenses may buy a leftover license starting at 10 a.m. July 12. Unsuccessful applicants may buy one starting at 10 a.m. July 19. Other hunters - including those who didn't apply - may buy one starting at 10 a.m. July 26.
Two bear hunts were undersubscribed, which resulted in 569 leftover licenses.
