Extreme heat will take its toll. Everyone is at risk when temperatures rise above 90 degrees. The elderly and the very young are most susceptible to heat and heat-related illnesses. We will most likely have many days of sweltering conditions ahead. Valley Area Agency on Aging is urging people to beat the heat by taking steps to protect yourself and your loved ones from extreme temperatures. If you don’t have air conditioning on a day when the temperature is 90 degrees or above, don’t stay at home go to a cooling center to protect yourself and your family.
