LINCOLN PARK, Mich. - Police in Lincoln Park say a 5-year-old boy is dead after what is suspected of being an attack by a 90-pound wolf-dog mix in his bedroom.

Chief Thomas Karnes says it happened Monday morning. He identifies the dead boy as Kyle Holland.

Karnes says Kyle's mother found him with serious injuries. The chief says there were two dogs in the house, one about 35 pounds and the other about 90 pounds and suspected of being a wolf-dog hybrid.

Karnes says the Wayne County medical examiner's office will examine the boy's body to determine if he died of an animal attack and if so, which dog attacked him.

The animals are in quarantine.
