RICHFIELD TWP. -- A two year old child has drowned in a swimming pool.
Around 5:21 p.m. Wednesday night, Richfield Twp. Police arrived at a home on the 5000 block of N. Vassar Rd. where a child was unresponsive.
The little girl had reportedly been sleeping in the home, woke up, walked outside, and climbed into the above ground swimming pool unnoticed.
Emergency crews provided CPR. They then took the child to Hurley Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
