Update at 4:21 p.m.: Significant wind damage could occur in Huron County, from Pigeon to Bad Axe. The South side of Caro could also see severe weather.
Severe thunderstorms are pounding Mid-Michigan. Warnings are in effect for most of NBC25's Northern viewing area until approximately 5 p.m.
Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect for the following areas:
Shiawassee County: until 5:15 pm.
Bay County: until 4:30 pm.
Saginaw County: until 4:30 pm.
Huron County: until 4:45 pm.
NBC25 has received some reports that there might be a potential tornado in the Bad Axe area. There have also been several reports of branches down in the West Branch area, Gratiot County and Alma areas. Winds are being reported above 60 miles per hour.
