(AP) -- U.S. Census Director Robert M. Groves is returning to the University of Michigan to give a report on the status of the 2010 national population count. Groves directed the Survey Research Center at the university's Institute for Social Research until President Barack Obama named him to the Census post last year.
He's scheduled to speak Friday morning at the University of Michigan Museum of Art.
The talk is titled, "The 2010 Census: How will we know how good it is?" Afterward, Groves will answer questions from the audience.
The event is open to the public.
