HURON CO. -- After an argument, a man pinned a woman between his car and a van.
The Huron County Sheriff’s department reports around 5:09 am Sunday, a 25 year old Duford man began pounding on Kesha Hoover’s door on the 9700 block of Helena Rd. in Sand Beach Township.
Hoover says the man was a former acquaintance, who demanded her to come out and speak with him. When she wouldn’t come outside, he broke a window to her home.
He then went over to a 1997 Ford van parked in the driveway and began to break out windows using his feet and a log. Ms. Hoover finally went outside and began to argue and fight with the man. At that time a male friend, who was staying with her, went outside and also got involved in the fight.
Once the situation calmed down, the suspect got into his vehicle, spinning his tires while he was backing up, and pinched Ms. Hoover between his vehicle and a van causing. The crash caused injuries to her right thigh. He then fled the scene in his vehicle causing damage to the yard.
A sheriff’s deputy was able to stop the suspect on Helena Road near Verona Road. He was eventually arrested for Operating While Intoxicated and lodged in the Huron County Jail. Warrants will be sought on the suspect for domestic violence and felonious assault.
