The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will have intermittent single lane closures in effect on northbound and southbound I-75 under Linwood Road in Bay County to accommodate bridge painting which began today.Northbound I-75 lanes at Linwood Road will remain open, without lane restrictions, Thursday, beginning at 3 p.m. through Saturday.
Southbound I-75 lanes at Linwood Road will remain open, without lane restrictions, Saturday, beginning at noon through Tuesday morning.
The overall $1.3 million, located in Saginaw and Bay counties, is expected to be completed in September 2010. Work includes resurfacing, repairs, and approach work on I-75 bridges under Cody Estey and Linwood roads.
Both bridges will be closed with traffic detoured for the duration of this project.
Motorists traveling on Linwood Road will be rerouted south on Mackinaw Road to Parrish Road, where they will head west to Seven Mile Road, then travel north to return to Linwood Road.
Motorists traveling on Cody Estey Road will be rerouted south on M-13 (N. Huron Road) to Pinconning Road, where they will head west to Seven Mile Road, then travel north to return to Cody Estey Road.
