Stocks slumped modestly today after news of what seems to be a fading recovery. Investors found little hope in the fed’s decision to leave short-term interest rates relatively unchanged.
The Dow lost an additional 54 points, while the Nasdaq was off 28 points. The S&P 500 sank six points.
Gold continued its downward trend to end the day below $2,000 per ounce. Oil prices closed just above $80 per barrel.
Ford and Dow Chemical remained fairly stable, nearly breaking even when the market closed today.
