Emotions explode outside Flint City Hall as relatives of stabbing victims question police about why a warning wasn't given sooner.
Family members of Arnold Ray Minor, the 5th person murdered by the stabber, say they had no warning and that nothing was done before arnold was killed.
Kareem Minor, Arnold's younger brother, says "We know he had victims stabbed. Some victims survived, but what about after the couple murders? Did it take five for them to put the pieces together? This has been months."
Forty-nine year old Arnold Minor died on Saginaw Street just south of downtown Flint Monday, August 2nd.
It wasn't until August 4th, two days later, that police came forward with a warning.
Family members say it was too late, and that Arnold was unprepared.
Arnold's sister, Stephanie Ward, says, "He would have stopped to help someone anyway, but maybe he would have took a different approach if we would have known it was out there."
The family confronted Flint Police Chief Alvern Lock who said to the family, "All the things you're talking about we should have let you know, we didn't know. As soon as we found out, we let you know. In less than 12 hours after we put all these pieces together, we let the public know."
In the meantime, the victim's family says it lives in fear.
Elzora Minor, mother of the victim, says "All of us have been staying together and sleeping in the same house because we don't know what's going on and we're afraid."
Patrick McGreevy, the public information officer with the Michigan State Police says, "I listened to some of the comments here, and I think those are valid concerns that the family has. From an investigation standpoint, I'm here to reassure not only the family, but this community, that when this task force was started, we hit the ground running 24/7 around the clock."
City leaders hugged family members and offered their condolences.
They're also asking the family to give them time to find the killer.
