(AP) -- Eminem is hosting a freestyle rap battle in Detroit. The Detroit News says the event is called "Red Bull EmSee: The Road to 8 Mile National Finals" and will be held Aug. 28 at Detroit's St. Andrews Hall. Eight winners of regional battles in cities across the country will compete in the event, which is expected to resemble head-to-head verbal assaults featured in Eminem's movie, "8 Mile."
The newspaper says Eminem will judge the competition's final match. Hip-hop group Slaughterhouse will perform. Tickets sell for $8.
