Air Force Airmen Cleophas J. Newton, Terry J. Frank, Patrick P. Sullivan and Nathaniel S. Ariss graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Newton is the son of Joyce and Cleophas Newton of Caitlin Landing, Grand Blanc. He is a 2007 graduate of Grand Blanc High School.
Frank is the son of Terry and Lisa Frank of W. Sanilac Road, Sandusky. He is a 2005 graduate of Sandusky High School.
Sullivan, an Airman 1st Class, is the son of Mark and Vickie Sullivan of Greenbush Place, Saginaw. He is a 2006 graduate of Saginaw Heritage High School.
Ariss earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Mike and Loraine Ariss of Krouse Road, Owosso. The airman is a 2007 graduate of Owosso High School.
